textures generally are low resolution, visibly blurry if anyone zooms in on them.
the only way you can show visual damage without emitters is by doing multiple hidden nodes on the vehicle, which would make the vehicle have a super high face count and lag a lot. look up the vehicle visual damage suggestions and requests topic to see the discussion about this there.
The sparks mod should be possible but vehicles dont scrape against walls often or at all; if they do they generally crash and stop, not slide
