Author Topic: V9 Calculators and keypads  (Read 1756 times)

Would they work? Would you be able to make a calculator? or a three didgett combination to be entered on a 9-button pad?

The three or more digit combination keypad would work and wouldn't be too tough.  The calculator on the other hand...

I managed to make tic-tac-toe using the events, but I'd have to scratch my head a whole lot to figure out how to get a calculator to work in V9 with the events currently available.  It might be possible, but don't expect anything more than four functions limited to just postitive integers (maybe negative if the ability to change a print brick to a character and not just a number is added).

holy shiz  bluegreen!

The Keypad is no problem I suppose, also Addition and Subtraction, no problem.
But when it comes to Multiplication and Division, well, it is possible, but just not worth it, you could rebuild the layout used in simple calculators.
To make this build it so it works in Dual 010101101 . well, I would need to think about that some time, but it is definitly possible *gg*

I wonder if you can tie in Mysql databases (or w/e you call them).

That would open up some interesting abilities.

If its modifiable/add-onable, I will personally be experimenting with its >:D

the thing about calculators is figuring out how to take in a numerous single digit numbers and making them 1 bigger number.  This could include decimals and negatives.  I have wrote one in a learning language called DrScheme but that is all I can write things in.

*sigh* this makes me want V9 so bad.... :panda:

Oh my gosh, it's BlueGreen! :O

In my demo days I think I saw one in a RTB vid. Not too sure though.

the keypad would be awesome, but if not, we can always revert back to RTB's locked doors and password doors....

...So, who's Bluegreen?
