Author Topic: People cannot join my servers  (Read 707 times)

In the past, people have been able to join my servers perfectly fine. But recently my parents called AT&T to fix our internet as it always crashes after a bad thunderstorm. After they "fixed" it, I always have a --- ping and no one is able to join. I assume I have to port forward? If so, how do you do that on a Mac? Thanks, any and all help is appreciated.

port forwarding is not based on the os of the computer, but the router you have. the only thing that's different is how to get your default gateway to open up the page in safari or browser of choice.

look up port forwarding on macs and that should give you how to get that.

Just fill in the model of your router and it should give you a specific step by step plan on how to port forward for Blockland with pictures of your routers UI.
You only need a browser, you could do it from a smartphone even.

Also, don't forget to give your computer hosting the server a static IP:

It is a step a lot of people seem to forget.
Which means that after a couple of weeks your computer gets an other IP and you have to redo the port forwarding.
