Now, a lot of people are not caring about how it's taken an anime turn or whatever.

There are a lot of complaints, instead, about how the developer has pulled this change so "suddenly" onto the game. The dev hasn't exactly made it clear that this was happening until recently; people did not know this was what it was going to end up like, and were anticipating simply a spinoff of Hotline Miami.

At least, this is what I gleamed off of reading a few things and talking to a few people who posted stuff about it.

the developer is japanese for forget's sake
