protip: download and play warhammer in Table Top Simulator before deciding on an army, you don't want to make a regretful decision, do you? (i'm almost always willing to play)

I dislike WH40k

things will get better

until they don't, mostly because of plot stagnation

My only WH40K friend as a kid played loving necrons. forget him. He was an starfish, and weird too. One time he DDoS'd my entire household because I killed him in GTAV. That's a necron player for you.

so ive been getting into this lately because ive always liked the 40k rts games, and also have been playing total war: warhammer. so i looked up some audio books and just listen to them at work, and they're forgetin dope. i just finished this one where this librarian who had previously been turned to follow a crazy chaos cultist, turned back to the imperium and was trying to give away the cultists next attack. he got discovered, fought the cultist leader, got his hands chopped off, and then was locked into one of the chambers they keep the dreadnought pilots in so he would be kept alive indefinently.

planning on reading the whole Horus heresy storyline next

Just so you know it's not a chronological series. Most of the early books tell the same story from different perspectives. That being said, Flight of the Eisenstein is my favorite.
