Author Topic: When did you have to pay to play mutliplayer on PS4?  (Read 1117 times)

I'm rather curious about this, because I currently own a few multiplayer games on the platform and they all require playstation plus to do multiplayer now. is this new? if it is, how new?

they started it during ps3, some games like ps allstars need online pass

it's been like that since the PS4 released

Since consoles became degenerate PCs.
Atleast nintendo tries to do something original, despite doing similar bullstuff practices.

PS4 had PS+ for online multiplayer since the beginning.
PS3 was 99% free with the exceptions being games like Battle Royale that required an online pass.

Wasn't free online gaming one of the props of Playstation that people kept boasting about during the console wars?

yeah then sony went the microsoft route

Since it was released, though F2P games don't need ps plus subscription in order to play multiplayer.
