my guess is they can redo the model/some of the texturing like the fur color n stuff and just re-render the stuff, but yeah its surprising they’re even willing to do so. rendering takes extremely long for feature films since they cant skimp on the rendering quality at all, and if the edits arent just right or add/remove/reshape body parts it can break animations.
