List of things games DIDN'T copy from real life:
-AI
-Spartan Armor
-Laser weaponry
-Bubble shields
-Any defiance of gravity due to supernatural forces
-Glitches
-Orcs (and other mythical species)

Keep telling yourself that, Chrono.
Defiance of gravity requires gravity in the first place, which was taken from real life. Laser weaponry? We have lasers, and science fiction writers would have played into that a great deal. Spartan Armor and Bubble shields, Science fiction writers... Orcs, Fantasy writers, mythology... I'll give you glitches, however.

Fiction is not real life.

Fiction is part of real life, book are part of real life, you know. I'm saying that we've had the ideas in real life so therefore it would be copied.

halo i HATE.
first person shooters should use a mouse and keyboard or they fail.
i get dizzy watching people run in circles around each other on their 3rd clip.

joysticks = fail
DooM just used a keyboard

and i agree, i tried playing a game at my friends house on a XBox... good god... how the hell do they do it?
Pratice and lots of time.

Pratice and lots of time. Too much spare time and one too many late nights at the xbox.

Seriously? Quake II? Kewl. More proof that id Software pwns Bungie.

By Medal of Honor (first game), you know I mean the first in the series, right?

Yes. I played it. I didn't like it.

Yeah, honestly, I don't really like Quake II. Quake 3 and 4 are better. :D

What
There is no such thing as armor in real life?
The concept has been around for a long time as an actual possibility and in science fiction.
Defensive technologies have never existed in the history of man, game makers invented armor and shields and all derivatives!
I think that the other guy summed that one up fine enough.
The forget?
Taken from lore.

You know, the Spartans had Armor.
