Which of these laptops are better?

The Inspiron has a better processor. Also it seems the Inspiron has speakers but the HP doesn't. Plus I've seen a lot of HP computers and lots of them are really fragile.

Get Inspiron.

I was able to run Hl2 on my dads Inspiron >< but its hella suped up it has 2 gigs of ram:D

Bump for more posts.

My uncle has a HP, it is really fast, great quality laptop.
My old friend has a Dell, the speed is O.K, but after a while of using it and installing programs, it really went downhill.

Also, AMD processors are way more reliable than their Intel rivals.

I'll let you decide.

Hp one is better because it has a real video card lol. not an integrated one like that dell has.

Not important bisjac opinions:
-although it is an ATI and not nvidia.
-but it does have AMD over my less liked Intel
-the HP can have double the possible ram compared to the other one

I ahve a dell, and if I didn't get the extra 3 year warranty, it would be in a dump. I've had every part replaced :D

Get the HP.

I have a dell and it is working very fine. I don't know what you are complaining about.

I have a 4 year old Dell, so maybe they stopped being awesome after we purchased the computers.

Also Intel processors usually have more L2 Cache than AMD ones. Which is probably the reason why they are so expensive.

nVidia cards are way better than ATI, but the nVidia one in the Dell is integrated, so still better to go with the HP.

Okay, the HP is no longer on sale, so I looked again and found a Compaq Presario for $499.  The differences I can tell off the bat are it has 50 less GB in the hard drive, has a NVIDIA GeForce 8200M with up to 1407MB total available graphics memory, is lighter, and different :(

EDIT:  Is it good?
