Author Topic: Secondary Fire?  (Read 949 times)

I realized how useful a secondary fire function/bind could be the other day when I was using SpaceGuy's Portal Gun weapon. For instance (On the same premises as the Portal Gun), to fire the orange portal, instead of using your Jet bind, why not have a secondary fire? Could this be put into Blockland, or have an add-on to add this?

Also, please do not flame this topic, say things like, "O nO DiS IAEd Is t3H GEHY!11!1", or, "FCUK OF YOU cigarette WE DON'T NEDE TIHS!1!!1!", because it would be very useful. On another note, please do not call me a cigarette if this has already been done before, because I am lazy, and do not feel like checking every single topic. And do NOT say something along he lines of, "FIRST PSOT!11!!111!@22@@@!", then not say anything about the topic, since that would make you an idiot.

Hey Rob, finally made an account I see. I like your idea, but I would rather have you press a key to switch which one you are using.

It's possible to put a secondary fire on most weapons, it just needs a little scripting work, nothing more.

There is an altTrigger(); function which acts like "mousefire();" (pressing Fire) for the left hand slot: it does work for the Guns Akimbo right now, only firing the left gun once rather than both), but since it's not keybound by default it's hard to make usable weapons with it.

Oh, there already is? Well, still as you said, there is no default bind, and I am just asking for this to be out in either a mod, or Blockland itself. (Like that will happen... :P) Also, thanks for pointing that out to me.

I think it would be better if this was added as a keybind for Blockland itself, rather than mods adding it: that way, we won't get ten different people adding a new keybind for their weapon to do the same thing.
