i need a script so a weapon will emitt fire

ive tried getting some help but im just gonna ask if somone can get me a script for a torch im making i want it to be able to emit fire from the top...
1 question if you make a script for me will i need a emitter  joint in the model?like named...fire at the place i want the fire at?
