I was mega pissed off to find that my MacBook turns on, and hangs at the grey logo or gets to the login screen but shows blue with the cursor occasionally flashing in. The head of ICT at my school got all my important data and got the MacBook checked and after 3 days I got a report saying I need to reinstall but check for bad blocks in the HD. Doing it now, luckily the computer came with install disks.
I guess now I have never been so attached to my little leopard laptop.

I just wondered if anyone else had this before on any operating system. Last thing I did was shut it down by holding down the on button.

Well, I have defiantly had boot problems with my iMac so I read the manual (oooffff course) and found out a nifty little trick with starting the iMac up. I don't know if this applies to Mac Books (I am pretty sure that the Pros have this feature) but you hold the power button for five to seven seconds and then your computer will make a beeping sounds for about one minute. It should boot up then. Now, as I said before this is on iMacs and I'm not sure about Apple laptops.

Nah, I've tried everything. Even disk utility and the command s and "fscky -fy" thingy which are both the same, really. Everything appeared to be ok. Also had it checked and repaired "to green with DW" and it still didn't work. Finishing install now, just put in disc 2. Everything going smoothly, yay!

That would be annoying.

Im glad to announce that my Mac is working wonderfully! Im gonna be sure to take a lot more care this time.

Oh dear, your poor "pc for idiots"

You trying to annoy me is boring. Go away.
EDIT: This time Im not installing windows - apparently it might have been boot camp or the 'Parted Magic' CD I used. Or the logic board might be going funny...
