Agreed. The older-morepixely look is better imo.
Because now the wiiware version looks like a mix, you want consistency, not where it's mixmatched.
But one good thing is that until proper-closeup-observation, I didn't know that the character was facing you. I thought the right blue line=eye, and the left blue line=ear. And the right green dot was the nose.
