Is the Battletech tabletop game any good?
I thought it was. You can only get their pieces online now, hard to find vendors that still sell them on wall-racks.

Good stuff though, neat books and guides.

Also get that Jap stuff out of our thread. Go play gundam in your seat cushion fort.

i cant rember the name of a game like this, its called like....Metal Core 4 or somthing.....

I did some digging online and it looks like the battletech miniatures were/are all poorly made pewter models (and amazingly tiny too).

I was hoping they had made some using the kind of quality plastic GW uses.

I was thinking of getting some of the models, just to put on display, but are you saying the they are made out of bad materiel?

They sell the plastic, but like all pewter you need to prep it.

Usually with mold casts you get cast lines and flash from the mold itself. Also the mold usually has chemicals that need to come out before paint, usually a wash in some dishwasher detergent works.

If I were you I would keep my money, or buy a 1/16 mech from some custom site.

Also just gonna throw this out there, but didnt I see something a while back on forums talkin about the guys that made Runescape makin some mech-kinda game?

Never played any Mech Games really...

Why did you post here then...

Get out.

Because I felt like it.

Because I felt like it.
Good plan, I'll post in every game I never played and then reference games vaguely similar.

Good work buddy, let's tag team the forum and then it's off to bed.

Fake edit: forget you

I dont post in every game topic referencing "vaguely similar" games, and dont plan to.  Was just interested.

Found these.  Not exactly miniatures, but there still pretty cool http://www.timdp.members.sonic.net/battletech/.
