Have some sort of implant or remote thing that would redirect signals to/from the brain to be processed by a computer. Everything can be done there - vision, touch, pain, movement - as long as the computer can do it all. It'd still keep the required signals 'running' for your heartbeat and staying alive, obviously.

I wonder if there could be a way to simulate lucid dreaming. :o
Telekinesis, flying, time warp and giant fireballs simulated by arm movements. There's not much else you need :cookieMonster:

Assuming the computer is really futuristic and powerful, it'd be exactly the same as real life except you can control everything.

Also, giant superpowered Gods deathmatch if it handles multiple people. "Life: Now in multiplayer!"
