Author Topic: How do you make add-ons?  (Read 974 times)

Help, I have no clue how to use or get the Torque Engine.  I've checked all over and can't find any solution to my problem!  D:

Alright then, who would make all of the weapons, vehicles and other stuff?
Because they don't just make themselves you know.

Scripting and Modeling.

Scripting: (Notepad Comes with windows)

Modeling: (Milkshape 3D Costs money but its easy, there is a trial) or (Blender Free, but hard)

First of all, I do not know where the Blender is. And second; how does the scripting work...? :panda:

He just told you how, now lock and learn.

None of you are really helping with the scripting problem. Look at the scripts in the add-ons you've downloaded, or the defaults. If you look at them you could probably learn a few things.

Google is your friend, Darth. http://www.google.com/

Milkshape 3D (Cost money, but its easy.): http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/

Blender 3D (Free, but hard): http://www.blender.org/

For scripting.... uhh I just look at other scripts and learn what they do.

Ok I have the Blender now how do I use it?

I would suggest googling some tutorials, or if you get someone to tutor you on it because blender is a wide subject. You cannot really just "teach" it to you in one post.

Here are some good resources to help you out if you stick with blender.

It's a bit confusing but not nearly as bad as people say.
I would try milkshape though a lot of people seem to think it's a lot easier, I haven't messed with it much myself since I bought it so I can't say which one is easier to pick up, but the interface is a lot less complex for sure.

I forgot to say there is a 30 day trial period on Milkshape so you don't have to buy it to see if you like it or not.
