Author Topic: Engine change: Faster bullets  (Read 1375 times)

Currently the engine only allows for a projectile to go so fast, and even though Im sure that this was put in intentionally to stop instakill, lightning fast projectiles I still want this changed. There are raycasts that can go at the speed I want, but Im unsure of how they work. To put it briefly, I want the max projectile speed changed in a future version of blockland.

Exactly. Or, a railgun-ish weapon.

There used to be no limit on projectile speed. Badspot capped it at 100 with the release of v9 so that people wouldn't forget up the game with events. What I hope he does is keep the cap on events but allow gun scripts to pass the limit still.

I would be happy at a 200 limit. Sniper shots move too slow, and are easily dodgable.

You can you Raycasting but that if often glitchy. Raycasting can be instant.

I know at least 3 raycasting-based snipers out about in blockland but all of them are extremely glitchy. Sometimes the bullet is delayed, sometimes it doesn't even shoot.

I would love to have it raised.
I'm sure most of the better players will use it right.
