Why is it that I have never a seen a map, or something, based off a movie or book?

I don't think there would be copyright issues unless Badspot puts it as something default in-game.  It is probaly because people like to be creative and make their maps how they wish instead of leeching off another idea.

Oh, because I was gonna make a mosiac of Weird Al'

If the Sonic people came here, they'd sue Blockland for over nine thousand name infringements.

and god help us if Bungie comes here (Halo)

You can make whatever you want and nobody cares.

There aren't mods or maps made from movies because no one bothered or cared.

If you're doing something wrong, you will probably be sent a C&D order before they try and take you to court. Then you'll take your mod down and there will be no problem.

And you can make a mosaic of Weird Al. Badspot could even feature it in the game (why he would want to is another question). The only issue is if you use a photograph someone else made and run it through Kaje's mosaic generator instead of remaking it by hand, but if you make it out of bricks no one will recognize it as their photograph anyway.

Because it would suck.

Someone made an Invader Zim map

I don't think there would be problems as long as the content was made by the users because it's free/share ware
