Author Topic: How to forward ports on a mac.  (Read 1710 times)

None of the IP addresses badspot states work, one of them says, The site seams valid, but I can't establish a connection. The rest just load for all eternity, How shall I continue? Slicksilver! Share your knowledge with me!

I am not an expert at networking, but I do know that as long as you have a wireless router the website is 192.168.1.____
If you have a windows computer I suggest trying them on that, even if you aren't going to host on that computer. If the site loads; just do it as if you were doing it on your mac, type in the last digits of your mac's IP that you set (Mines 192.168.1.45) and go. If you don't have a windows, try it on another mac, if you have only one computer; sorry bro.

Here's how I do it:
Open up spotlight (the search bar in the top right)
Type in: Airport Utility
Press enter
It will open up a window with your wireless router information
Click advanced on the bottom left

Damn i don't have the Airport Utility app. Is there a way i can get it?

I don't think so, it might only come with Apple Timecapsules...

I have an airport extreme. But when I look it up on spotlight it shows the app but when I click on it it says it is not supported on this architele or something. Help dude! Though I think it might be a problem with the ports I did before. Bye.

Wait i have the application now. But when it asks to update the router, then searches, it says it cant locate wireless divice. HELP!

Ok go into "files" button and click configure other, and then type in 10.0.1.1 and your internet's password. If it can not find it using that, then well I don't know how to help you.

What do you mean files button?

No, don't get a PC, Blockland runs stuffty on them. On Mac, it's the same. Do what you would for a PC. If you have Blockland on a Mac, it runs faster, more graphics, and much less lag. Vista especially sucks with Blockland, I wish I had a Mac.
Meh, Mac cant run some games like PC can. anyway you cant run a blockland dedicated on Mac
So Mac sucks.

PS. I have Vista and IT DOES NOT LAG at all
