Author Topic: How to forward ports on a mac.  (Read 1724 times)

I have read the "How to Forward Ports" Page and it only talks about PC's. I also looked at the other site they recomended but it doesn't help at all. Please tell me a step by step way to forward my ports. Thanks.

I have never done it on mac but i am guessing it is the same, you still have a wirless router right?

Yes i have a Airport Extreme

o.k. so just find the same menus just on the mac...only way i can think of, you would do the same thing but the menu's are a bit different, or go online and search for like a youtube vid for it on macs...

Its really different i know and i tryed but i did not succeed.
you could try and tell me if you succeed.
heres a link to how

No, don't get a PC, Blockland runs stuffty on them. On Mac, it's the same. Do what you would for a PC. If you have Blockland on a Mac, it runs faster, more graphics, and much less lag. Vista especially sucks with Blockland, I wish I had a Mac.

I tried the method and it doesn't work! Maybe if badspot responds, he might be able to tell me.

And me too.
I still need to port forward but it keeps messing up.

I mean really Badspot makes most of the downloads of blockland for mac and dosen't tell us a thing on how to port forward with them.

Do not blame Badspot for your problems. He does tell us how, look at the Port Forwarding Tutorial This may be for PC but it is exactly the same.

I have set up a tutorial I will post here:
First go to apple at the top and select System Preferences

Then when you are in it select Network

Then go to Advanced at the bottom right:

Click TCP/IP

Select Configure IPv4>Manually and change the rest to this (it may vary depending on router if it doesn't work figure out what to put for "router" at http://blockland.us/portforward):

Then go to DNS:

and click the + button all the way on the left bottom

add the IP 68.10.16.25 and hit OK, the menu should look like this with maybe a few changes such as more DNS numbers:

Click OK then forward ports as shown at http://blockland.us/portforward (on the internet not the windows stuff)
