VSB has slots open :O

I'm buying Lock On: Flaming Cliffs as soon as possible. (http://lockon.co.uk/)

Here's my (Extremely over-written) entry email.

Hello, Virtual Snowbirds:

I would like to join VSB in the position of #2, Right Wing. I believe I would be acceptable in this position for a few reasons.

I started out playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 5 when I was seven years old, and continued to learn the feel of flight and aircraft control when I recieved a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 with a brand new computer for my 12th birthday. I researched how airplanes operated and all flight contols, and eventually mastered visual-flight-rule flying and IFR flight. That summer I went to watch a Snowbirds show near my home in Ontario.

Inspired, I was, enough to download a version of the Snowbird aircraft for FS2004. I quickly got the feel of the Tutor aircraft and began modifying the game to practice flight formations. I replaced Cessna models with the Tutor, and changed the speed of the AI bot to match my aircraft. I was in the exact position that I am requesting to be in at the moment, right wing.

Today, I play mostly X-Plane 9 as it is the most realistic flight simulator on the market compared to Flight Simulator X (Currently my computer can't run it with a higher frame rate than 10). The main downside I am seeing that may prevent me from joining is the fact that I do not own a copy of Lock On: Flaming Cliffs. Although I am working at a local store, I have enough to buy the game online, so I should be flying soon.

In closing, it would make me incredibly happy just to be part of such a rigid group of flight enthusiasts. I hope that the outcome from me going beyond my usual vocabulary to type this email will be well worth it.

PS: If I do manage to make it in, I would simply like to be called "Hunter".

Hope to fly with you soon!

 -Mack (ImTheHunter)

Any fellow Canadians willing to apply with me? :D

Hi mack.
Nice email, Hope you get in.

so you fly super seriously with other super serious flyers online? or something

good luck

looks boring..

id be the one trying to crash into everyone

Lock On's default campaigns do tend to be pretty boring, the radar model is lacking fine detail, and the graphics engine is really inefficient. Anyways, good luck with the application.
...I wouldn't mind giving this sim another chance. Hunter, if you ever get your copy, gimme a call.

I'm going to (Hopefully) be the one just behind #1 on the right side.

You have to be a plane fanatic to get into these types of things, not really my cup of tea.
