You know RGB light? You make something like that that is REALLY big and you make it change day to night. It would have 4 lights. Dawn, Day, Dusk, Dark.
Hmm, mqybe setting the sun to zero and using an FXlight instead of an FXsun might work.

What I did for a map that had day/night cycles was completely delete and remake both the sky and sun on each tick. However, interiors and terrain will not relight. This would only work well in a slate-type map.

It also causes a very small bit of lag... Lock.
