He showed me those too, when I chose my i7. The i7 is much more rounded then the Phenom II. The Phenom II seems to only perform the best at 1680x1050 in the benchmarks he shows you. I was pretty sure there was another set of higher resolution benchmarks where the i7 out performed the Phenom II.

From what I've heard, AMD processors have a problem with overheating. Any CPU cooling failure will cause the processor to fry itself, unlike an Intel one, which runs cooler and has a less chance. Plus, Intel processors tend to have more L2 Cache and a higher FSB, which is a good thing.
