Author Topic: Best modeling software  (Read 845 times)

I am thinking of modeling soon. What is the best software for it and where is there a tutorial on how to make things and export to Blockland?

Tom

Its all about preference. I've been using Wings3D since when I attempted to make mods for Sims 2, and I find it hard to use anything else. I would suggest starting on Blender or Milkshape, because they support DTS exporters. Blender is harder to learn, but I think its more powerful.

I only use milkshape for blockland modeling, just because it's so easy to pick up - and use.

It's really a matter of how much time you want to invest learning how to use a program.

Blender is nice.

I suggest sketch up.
That's what i use.

Well, they do have those expensive modeling software programs that are good, such as AutoCAD. I used those at school and are really nice.

use blender. Its free, has a dts exporter, and you can make great models with it(So ive heard). Ive also heard that it has a large learning curve.

Well I've been off blockland for a while, and started to play with other moddeling software, recently I came back and picked up Milkshake again, only to realize how lacking it can be in some departments.
