"it can be done with steam" is a pathetic excuse because everything steam does is buggy and dysfunctional. Obviously the local community trolls are quick to jump the gun and shoot down the thread as is the case with most decent suggestions on the forums.

I don't see why we don't support this idea because Xfire is an excellent medium for communication, better than most if not all other messengers available.
I would love to tell you but it seems your sentence isn't actually a question!
>Steam
>Buggy and dysfunctional
Surely you jest

>Steam

I question whether you've actually ever used steam.

Steam is slow, often shows incorrect update/download information (99% instantly), will sometimes freeze once it is done updating, has issues with Firefox 3.5 because of its broken window rendering not using the goddamn default windows system, often the server browser simply doesn't function, quite often the steam window will refuse to restore from its minimized state until it is closed from the task bar, and when trying to reopen it can take several long seconds for the steam.exe process to close and when trying to quickly restart this results in the "STEAM IS ALREADY RUNNING" message occuring. There are more bugs, glitches and oversights, but I won't bother going into detail.
