Why aren't there many good challenge or racing servers anymore?

Why? Because every server is a freebuild or something. Thats not new. thats not special. what makes my freebuild server better than your freebuild?
Nothing.
Thats why the other types are important.

Freebuilds are the reason this game existed, why else would people want a multiplayer building game? A decent freebuild is really hard to find too, either the host is a control-freak badmin that just does whatever evil thing pops into his tiny brain, or you can't build at all (wtf?), or the people in it suck and just jump around on your head trying to out attention-whore everyone else with immature controversy.

Yeah, most challenges are just "jump on the 1x1x5's" or 'Jump on the platforms which un-collide sometimes" or "do a maze" - mazes really do not belong in challenges unless they actually require some sort of skill or have something else interesting about them.

Or it's "Jump here and it MIGHT be the right brick, or you MIGHT fall right through it. It looks the exact same as the other bricks and there are no clues. Start guessing and checking." Which isn't even challenging, it's just a matter of getting lucky.

i like race servers, i tend to carve tracks out of maps. (try it with NYC or san andreas.)

Most challenges these days consist of random guessing and other stuff that has no hints on what the forget you have to do.
