Author Topic: Suggestion: Transformer Player-type  (Read 1676 times)

I was playing a game involving the Wall-E player type, laughing at his "box mode" when this idea hit me. does anyone think it would be possible? I mean the altmode could be triggered by holding crouch.

Suggestions for transformers/altmodes:

Bumblebee/Camaro 2009 Concept
Sideways/Audi R8
Starscream/F22 Raptor (possible with a "Jet" tool?*)
Megatron/Cybertronian tank/jet (again with the "Jet" tool)

*a "Jet" tool would be a tool like the flying hat that causes the crouch animation to play whilst allowing the player to fly like a jet

how many of these have we had? this must be like the 30th so stop makeing these, the are imposible and will never come now stop JUST STOP makeing these things

I was just saying, you know. It's not like I'm trying to force you to do anything. It's just an idea.

It's not impossible. All you need is some animating and the model, of course. Wall-E was made. So it makes a straight "Yes" it's possible.

I <3 the dancing headcrab avatar.

Anyway, it might be possible, but very laggy. You would have to make a car playertype and make all the animations for it to transform, then make a robot playertype and all the animations for it to transform, and somehow slap the two together, while having it still look good. How long would the transforming take?

Probably 5 seconds, lol.

dancing head crab avatar? lol i was trying to read it.

i bet no one even here knows what the meaning of any of those letters are... nore do i think any one else understands cryillic.

On-toppic: any ways, people only say it's imposible cus every one is to lazy to script, model, or animate the thing so it "CAN" be possible.

This would require very complicated animations that are not within the range of skill of even our greatest modelers here. Also, these will require many extra things such as double collision meshs and etc. Overall these "extra things" will most likely crash the average server.
