Author Topic: WoW new monney idea  (Read 2118 times)

Would you like running through a dungeon with as many people as there are in a capital city?  Or do you mean instances for the whole game?
Some newer MMO's, such as Darkfall and Mortal, use "server clusters". They mimic a seamless world by passing you off from one server to the next, but you don't notice it. The servers maintain areas of the map, and if those areas get too crowded, they shrink them so that more servers are supporting the area. So you don't need to have instancing in the sense that there is a limit to the amount of users in a given area.

Only the stuffty mmos require a whole zone for 1 or a single party of players for any reason.
The stuffty arcade slashing, macro spamming simple minded ones.
(Oh lol like wow?)

Instance bosses for quest use had always been fine on games. No need for all the private space. Just spawn the mob/npc for the group instead

I like it for dungeons, It would be stuff without it.  But if it's for normal spots, as in a city, then it's not fine.

Off topic;

Age of conan was the worst case of this I had ever seen. Basically the entire game was instanced for single player things.
Was terrible for an mmo.
40 hours in and I hadn't spoken to any of the 20 players I passed in town

Haha, that sounds horrible.

That's not even a day's pay as a gardener.

Mow some lawns.

ok so what if WoW (world of warcraft to those who dont know it) didnt cost $15 a mounth but $50 for a one time payment?
It Should Be 5$ Cuz It Sucks.

$15 a month keeps handicaps like you out of the game.

Cuz It Sucks.

you've probably never played it because you're a bandwagoning friend.

well i have played it, and being a lover of the mmo genre and trying nearly all the top ones, i can honestly say wow was the most simple minded one i have ever seen. its like the game was designed for children.
i got bored so fast by its extremely redundant content

I can understand if you've played it, but that guy probably hasn't.
