Author Topic: Third-Person Crosshair  (Read 970 times)

This is something the new version could definitely use. Nobody even sees their own Blockhead model anymore because 90% of the time you're either building (which is 50/50) or doing something involving events, DMs, etc. Those are all reasons why a 3rd person crosshair would be useful. If we can manage this, it would take a lot of stress away from the players' graphics cards as well, seeing as you could aim quickly even with a low framerate, for example, some dude pops up next to you and you can't shoot him because you're lagging from all the bricks around you and your crappy graphics card, and he shoots you. With the 3rd person crosshair, you can still aim quickly and be able to move around while seeing enough of the area around you so that you don't end up lagging to the point where you get shot to death, again. I would also imagine this to be able to be disabled by the server, so that players can't cheat (but, then again, there's the matter of the first-person playertype that can come into use here)

I was a bit tired while writing this, so if it doesn't make 100% sense, then just read below.

tl;dr third person crosshair enables easier aim and less stress on your computer

very interesting

btw hitman crosshair

I'm confused... how does it lower stress on your comp?

Um... how about you lern2aim in third person?

When you don't look at all of the bricks in front of you, you can look around you from above or whatever and prevent the lag caused by processing multiple bricks.

I was gonna suggest this AGES ago
I never got to :c

well, since the target would keep moving based on if you're aiming up or down, it would be a straight line going from center of screen to top?
