BTW when i was little i played a translaed version of Mother, im pretty sure, you first fight a lamp, right?

My mom got Earthbound for herself a long time ago, back when I was like 7 or 8, and from what I remember never got too far. I should ask her if I could dig up the cartridge and play it myself sometime.

Also, if you play it on an emulator, get a USB SNES controller. It will create the most authentic SNES experience you can acheive on a computer. They are made from real, original SNES controllers. The only difference is a bunch of the copy right text on the back is gone and it fits into USB ports (of course).

I can't believe I didn't find this topic sooner.

Chuggaconroys channel on youtube (look up gaming channels, on front page) actually has a good playthrough of all the mother games. (except he messed up on mother 1) Mother 3 is not completely turned based because how fast you go determines how much hp you actualy take, and also if you hit attack to the rhythm, you can make combo attacks. (I am not sure about the other mother games)

I'm pretty sure most of us don't play it legally.
But then you can PK Haaack D:

Where could I get that Homebrew? I've been looking for one for ages because I'm planning a flashcart for my DSi soon.

Earthbound is pretty glitchy , it won't be 100% perfectly emulated, but it is still playable (The main problem is the BG of the fight overlaps everything in a boss battle, but if you toy around with the layer settings, it will be fixed, palette will still be borked on the hud though, but only for the fight.
