I got LBP GOTY a few days ago, but I have a question.

How the heck do I spawn a Paintinator(or whatever) in my levels? I know how to use it on other peoples levels but I can't find it in my popit thing when making my own level.

You need to beat the VR training in the MGS levels in bonus levels.  Once you get done with the mission you will get it.

Oh, and before I forget, can someone tell me how I "paint" my sackboy? I went on a level that said to paint your sackboy all black(to make some costume without the real DLC), but I don't know how to paint my sackboy.

Use your stickers to "paint".

You can even save the "painted" sackboy.

You would have to do it all over your character, but yes.
