Don't people have scripts that changes what they are wearing? Just make a few images for the face, then have a script that cycles through them. Would that work?

Stop motion could simulate an animation, but depending on how many frames, it could lag. AND it might lag, idk the basics of scripts though so I wouldn't know

Not anymore. That was when people could update their avatar immediately. The funky shirt (the addon you're referring to) changed your colors and sent them to the server extremely fast and continuously, which caused lag for most servers. Badspot put an unchangeable limit that you may not change your avatar earlier than a second before your last change in v13, I believe it was.
