If you click on the matchups it will take you to the forums where you can vote. If you have a Facebook account, you can just use that to vote instead of making a whole new account.

So have fun and vote for Valve!

OH FARMVILLE! ITS SO MUCH FUN! ITS JUST LIKE HARVEST MOON BUT COOLER!

Really, farmville is handicapped

Valve VS Blizzard Plz

2009: Valve vs Blizzard - Winner: Valve
2009: Gordon Freeman vs Mario - Winner: Gordon Freeman
2010: Half-life, Portal, TF2 and CSS vs Farmville, Mafia Wars, Fish World, Happy Island - Winner: Pending...

What's Farmville? And why do all their games have dumb names?

It's fun to click a cow and some plants, or the click and watch bullets shoot the heads off zombies?

Blizzard, because starcraft is awesome.

Who the hell even DARES to compare Valve with a generic scam game company >:(

loving hell man this is handicapped

Farmville: Harvest Moon but not fun at all
Mafia Wars/Vampire Wars: Please refer to thousands of other browser games

And that beat:
Lineage & Aion (and also, if I remember rightly, Guild Wars)
Call of Duty - the entire series
Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt
Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts

That's something like 4 of the biggest game franchises in the world beaten by point and click/text based browser games. What. The forget.

And VALVe doesn't have a chance in this. A lot of people who have played VALVe games don't even know that VALVe is their developer.

I can honestly see Zynga beating Blizzard, but at the same time that seems slightly unlikely. But still it has potential to be very loving close, and Zynga have made nothing of any note at all. loving hell, why are people so goddamn stupid? Zynga has basically pumped out three less fun ripoffs of other games and they're cleaning house.

-snip-
I have a feeling Zynga cheated just to advertise D:
I mean, i'm not really a huge call of duty fan, but this is just impossible that a game company as generic as this can storm through game companies like Rockstar.

Actually you can vote with your Facebook account.

And when you login to their games, they access data based on your Facebook account.

So I bet that their games all automatically voted for them when you logged into them, via your account. It's the only way. My mum is a massive Farmville addict and she never saw anything about this.

Wouldn't that cheating?

Yes. It would be.

I calmed down, then re-raged and ranted again on MSN.

Weiss says (9:06 PM):
Look at Zynga. currently against VALVe, and I guarantee they will win and may even be able to beat the WoW subscribers.
Weiss says (9:07 PM):
Farmville. Harvest Moon but with all the potential fun cut out and replaced with point-click-wait. Mafia Wars/Vampire Wars, essentially the same game themselves and also the same as thousands IF NOT MILLIONS of other browser games.
Weiss says (9:08 PM):
They beat Rockstar - GTA and Manhunt. They beat NCSoft, Lineage, Aion and Guild Wars which is arguably WoW's only probably competitor in the market ever. They beat Infinity Ward who produced Call of Duty.
 What. The. forget.
Weiss says (9:09 PM):
But this blows me out. They also beat Square Enix, ala Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest. So basically every JRPG gamer in the world would have voted for them, at least the ones who read the Escapist which admittedly probably isn't a huge amount.
Weiss says (9:10 PM):
Basically they released three badly made casual games on Facebook and are likely to actually beat Blizzard in this.
Weiss says (9:12 PM):
Due to the fact that you can vote using your Facebook account, I'm willing to bet that their games automatically vote since they have access to some of your Facebook info. If you've saved your Facebook password which 90% of people do, then their games will undoubtedly have automatically voted, since my mum's a Farmville addict and has seen nothing about this competition.
Yet Zynga acquired literally over a million votes in the span of a day against Square, apparently.
Weiss says (9:14 PM):
However the very fact that Zynga is even in this loving competition states blatantly that it is inherently flawed. We have all the big-time franchise companies and developers of the most popular hardcore gamer lovebugs, and some of the masters of emergent gameplay and innovative concepts and in the middle of all this a loving Facebook app developer?
Weiss says (9:15 PM):
It's like voting for the best breed of dog with bricks as an option. It's just not the same loving thing. It shouldn't loving be there and the fact that it is seems to violate any hint of credibility this competition could have had.
Weiss says (9:16 PM):
Let alone the fact that they're winning despite not even advertising the competition. I don't think the Escapist even has a million readers and the fact that Zynga got that many votes tells me something's up.
GIANT ANGRY WALL AHOY! Sorry if it loops back on its points occasionally but I have anger control issues lately and very minor things tend to set me off in very major ways, and it is hard to think when all you want to do is murder people.

Ten seconds of gameplay in any Valve game is automatically better than ten years of playing Farmville.
