I don't like completely transparent colors, that means a brick can't be found by holding out a tool, this means anyone can make spam everywhere and no one would notice unless they bump into an invisible wall or something (unless collision has been turned off on the bricks)
Paint-transed bricks show up as wireframes when I'm holding a tool.

Trueno's makes the mesh appear.

i use color set extended, it has an invisable paint, but i prefer to use the wrench for servers that don't have it, and it's not that hard to unrender a bunch of bricks, just use the auto wrench

I believe Trueno's new colorset has a completely transparent paint that can be used for stuff like ambient lights and whatnot. Lights can't be shown without rendering, but the invisi-paint allows the lights to show anyway. It also shows the brick "frame", as if you'd simply turned rendering off already, but it still counts as being rendered.
