Author Topic: Is there a command for ghosting bricks?  (Read 918 times)

I know bricks automaticly ghost when you enter a server, but for some odd reasons sometimes some bricks won't ghost. So does anyone know if there's a console command that ghosts bricks?

ehh, ghosting as in a brick rendering?

how did you get to where bricks dont ghost?

in your mining mod it happens sometimes. It's when it's trying to ghost an extreme amount of others bricks and then you place bricks and it doesn't ghost yours. Happened to me plenty of times.

well for the mining mod it has to do with how far you are away from the bricks when they are created.  I beleive its an optimization in Torque to keep lag issues down.  I get the same thing in non-mining servers.  if somebody is building something a long ways away, I will get ghosting messages when i get close enough.

So in order to get what you want where no bricks ghost, then you would have to wait for everything in the server to ghost which would make your load times MUCH longer, and probably laggy because of all the bricks on your client.

I know, I don't really want this.. It's what he wants. This was just an example to show you what he's talking about
