Author Topic: Click to mount? (WHILE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. forget)  (Read 1381 times)

ye
although i don't really see a use :D
and what if you want to click a button outside the vehicle?

That would still work...
Clicking fires a raycast, correct?
The raycast from the click HITS mount points INSIDE the vehicle, causing you to MOVE there.
To sort of simulate walking...

If you're in a chase and you wanna quickly switch to an unmanned turret, this would be very useful.  ...but you would have to face something and use a Keybind:  Ex:  Ctrl+MouseButton1

A regular click would be annoying if you are currently in a turret, and you would be almost trapped.

However, this is a good idea.

Interesting idea, though I don't understand why it's confusing people.

I do think that this would be useful in certain situations. Say you were on the giant spaceship I suggested. If you had an interior, you could use this to move around at a reasonable speed, possibly allowing boarding. (Except for the whole thing where you can't hurt people in the same vehicle as you...)

In general, it would allow you to move around larger vehicles in a more realistic fashion as opposed to cycling through seats with period and comma.

Unfortunately it's a bit of a moot point for the moment as we do not know whether or not this is possible. I think it is, though I'm not certain.

Exactly. That's why I want more people to see it, to tell me if it's possible.
