Author Topic: L4d2 viewmodel fov mod - no cheats needed!  (Read 9006 times)

Hey someone on the Steam forums made a mod where you can change the view model fov without the need of cheats set to Sv_cheats 1

command example: viewmodel_fov_override 65 you can even add it to your autoexec.cfg file

also no you won't get vac banned it's in addon format I like 65 cause you can see the scar better and the pistols aren't as close up

Already have it, my L4D2 group posted an announcement. It's cool.

He just added some actual field-of-view override (for the game view not the models) which will probably get this classed as cheating...

Valve should add an option to have either L4D or L4D2's view.

we need old survivors hand models for CSM

I don't see how this gives an unfair advantage over the other players. If anything, third person does and it's not flagged as a cheat. I use it to look around corners without exposing myself and other things all the time.

i use third person when im on close quarters or i get vomited or a horde comes
unless im on a corner

Because it replaces a .dll, it may be VAC banned.

it does not directly replace it it goes in the add-on folder

it needs sv_cheats set to 1 or you can't use that console command
