Anyone else notice it?  You can now "sculpt" displacements, and there's an instancing menu.  Now the grid's gone and models are black in 3d view, valve needs to fix it soon.  I think it's a merge of the l4d2 sdk and source sdk.

What's instancing?

Damn I haven't used Hammer in forever.

I don't know actually, it's something in the new engine versions, I think.  Or maybe it's for editing large maps.

I never understood engine limits. If engines are just a method of computing data and displaying it, then wouldn't the only limit be the power of the computer it's being run on?

Engine needs to still be updated to recognize the new hardware. :o

Or to look better.  There's a reason there's so many new versions coming out now.  Really, portal 2 will use mostly dynamic lights.
