I've beat Borderlands. What now?

As the title shows, I've won Borderlands as a Lv.36 Solider.
But I don't know what to do now. Is the game over yet? Because I've seen people with Level 50 in it.
Was I doing something wrong? Are there any other areas to explore?

Or I just need to buy an addon.

What. How? How could I finish such a perfect game in a such short time as this D:

Nope, your only goal now is to get the DLCs, reach level 50 and wish it had a hint of replay value.

You can give the game another playthrough with your leveled up character, which is pretty much the same thing over but with much stronger enemies. I got bored about halfway through, personally.

Complete all challenges
Get all proficiencies to 50
Try to find all missions available
