I'm pretty sure it's equally good on console and PC.

Console only had local multiplayer.
PC version is better.

The thing I liked about "Halo:Combat Evolved" on PC is that you get the Flamethrower.

Well the flamethrower was a good add-on and they made the game where you can play through network so i think it is way better than the xbox version

One of my friends has both of them (Halo:Combat evolved and Halo:Custom Edition.
