Author Topic: Restricted Saving  (Read 671 times)

Simply, only admins/Super admins/Hosts are allowed to save builds. I find it extremely annoying when I get told someone is hosting their server with my build, claiming it is theirs.
What i need to know is,
1) Can it be done?
2) If it can be done, Can someone make it? It'd Would be greatly appreciated by me and probably a lot of other people.

I'm getting pretty frustrated for this is the 3rd time someone has stolen my school build. (Don't be all 'well you shouldn't of hosted it online or blah blah blah' because it's a build MEANT to be hosted online, otherwise there isn't much of a point now is there.)

Got my answer. Thanks anyways. :\

Can't be done as it is client side.

Really wish it could be. That just pisses me off :\

Then you'll have to deal with people saving your builds then.  It's a core feature of the game.  This whole topic is as dumb as those javascript crap things that try to stop you from saving images in your browser.  People like to save builds so they can look at them locally and play with them later, or maybe add on to them on their own server.

Just because a few 12 year old dorks like to claim credit for other people's work doesn't mean you should cripple the whole game.  Just ignore those people.

this is actualy possible to an extent, as you can restrict event saving i think, as aparently events come from the server while saving

To prevent people claiming credit (and succeeding with making others believe they built it) you should write your name out of bricks underneath your build (before you actually start to build it) in a way that if any brick in your name is deleted the whole build will fall apart/be unplayable.

Public saving is currently the only means of keeping quality builds alive after their authors have gone.

@OP: All you have to do is when you finish your build, take some screen shots and post them in the gallery section. If anyone that isn't you claims that they made it first, you can prove you made it with timestamps.

that's too easy to work around, you just copy the events off and delete them, or use the move with SAG
