Author Topic: Should I get an NES or 3-in-1 console?  (Read 943 times)

I have a lot of old games I want to play, but the oldest console I have is an N64. I see a bunch of NESs on eBay from reputable sellers at the $60-or-so mark, up to $100 with games and some accessories.

But, that could get expensive if I want an SNES or other old stuff. I would imagine that something like the Retron-3 would be good for what I want, but I sorta want retro.

So what's better? the NES that is really retro but the pins sometimes mess up and I would need other consoles, or a multi-console system that is top-loading?

a toploader
Mmk. I would have to buy a couple controllers to replace the crap wireless controllers that come with the system.
NES controllers on Amazon are under $10. :\

A top-loader is better than the original tape-style NES because it wont bend the connector pins when you try to put in/remove the game.
