Author Topic: Non-steam version of MW2  (Read 1787 times)

Well I have decided never to buy a single thing off of steam again, because it will probably just deny me of more money.
I noticed that MW2 is on steam. I'm pissed because I really want it, (no not because of its "supr cul grphis nd relism" because I don't look for that in a game) so I was wondering if there was a legal non-steam version?

Nope, Black Ops doesn't have one either.  If you're worried about losing money, tie your steam account to your email account.  Oh wait, it's due to the program not running?  That shouldn't be too hard to fix.

No it's because it won't let me log on. It keeps saying:

Could not connect to Steam network.
This could be due to a problem with your internet connection, or with the Steam network. Please visit www.steampowered.com for more info.

Ive done everything and it wont work. Reinstalled 3 times, got chrome, all sort of things.
I'm getting extremely pissed and so is my dad because I have over $150 of games in there and I can't even loving use it.

It works when forced in offline mode, but all the programs apparently can only run in online mode. I tried changing my server and things but nothing of the sort worked.

Hey, you're not the only one who has the problem. :C

Try turning off firewalls?

Check anti-virus and firewall settings, Make sure nothing is blocking it.
Check if your dad/someone had changed any settings on the router around the time Steam stopped working.

I'm going to try that but it will require admin. :/
