Battlefield 2 long verification times.

I am in serious need of some help here. Whenever I join a server in BF2 the loading time takes less than a minute, but the client verification takes forever. According to Steam I've played BF2 for approximately 5 hours. But in actuality I've played a little over in hour total. That's how long the wait is. Does anyone know how to speed it up?

If it's just minutes, that's just because the game is so old it has to do that. It won't get better. That's why I used to play on only 24/7 Karkand/Jalalaabd servers because it never had to reload.

Unlocking to say that defragging the hard drive greatly decreases the verification time. I've gotten into games much quicker after defragging.

I've just recently defragged my pc too hope I will get amazing frame rates back on source games, I mean crying out loud how could anyone not get good framerates on the source engine





and Bf2 has always been known for it's super long loading times
