Author Topic: Interactive Props: Game Systems... (NES)  (Read 520 times)

I just got an NES for Christmas and I started thinking, what would it be like if i could play video games on BL? I don't know of another topic on this, but if there is please post link. If there is to be a video game console on BL it should be an NES. The body isn't too complex and the only animation is the game flap. The NES can have events to produce a picture to a named brick

And added feature would be separate game cards that other coders would make and produce.

Consept: Step1: Player Has Card

Step2: If Player Has Card In Hand and Clicks NES, a Named Brick Will Produce a Picture On Its Side. (Pic Opt: ○North ○South ○East ○West ○Up  ○Down)

The Picture Will Depend On What Game The Player is Holding. (If Player Inputs a Card With a Picture of Mario, the Named Brick Will Produce a Picture From The Mario GamePlay.) During The Game The Player Will Hold a Controler.

Step3: If The Player Wishes to End The Game, The User Simply Clicks The NES and It Will Return The Card To The Player's Hand.

:nes: V1:
•NES
•Hold Controller During Game (no function)
•Animation When Inserting Card and Removing
•Picture and Sound Are Produced from a Named Brick When Card is Inserted and Ends When The Card is Removed.

Simply not feasible. You really don't understand the limitations of Blockland and its engine.

This is just an IDEA!

Tom

His point is Badspot my see it and make an engine change that allows drawing of 2D screens at scripting level.

Although it's unlikely that something like this would ever get added to the game.

That's not a very good point for 2 reasons:
1. It'd be preposterously difficult and not worth the amount of work
2. Badspot do extensive updating and/or listening to the community? Ahahahahaha

With a couple hundred events you could make a full-working SNES That can play the whole Super Mario Bros.

Maybe about 300 events or so?
