Author Topic: Where I'm From...  (Read 1068 times)

I'm from horrendous sickliness
to wonderfully healthy
from double pneumonia
to minor stomach flu's

I'm from loving oceanic creatures
to a big technical geek
Loved the big blue whales
to gaming on my games

I'm from loving to play
to sleeping in at home
from eating my veggies
to pizza all day

I'm from the firstborn son
to bickering everyday
from hating video games
to loving my new DS
And one day in my life
I'll be a game designer.

This is a little poet thing I made a while ago.

Hope you like it!

Also feel free to post where you're from!

Arent you supposed to put a product often bought or used by you and your family in the first part? I had to make one of these this year.

And...

I am from clothespins,
from Clorox and carbon-tetrachloride.
I am from the dirt under the back porch.
(Black, glistening,
it tasted like beets.)
I am from the forsythia bush
the Dutch elm
whose long-gone limbs I remember
as if they were my own.

I'm from fudge and eyeglasses,
          from Imogene and Alafair.
I'm from the know-it-alls
          and the pass-it-ons,
from Perk up! and Pipe down!
I'm from He restoreth my soul
          with a cottonball lamb
and ten verses I can say myself.

I'm from Artemus and Billie's Branch,
fried corn and strong coffee.
From the finger my grandfather lost
          to the auger,
the eye my father shut to keep his sight.

Under my bed was a dress box
spilling old pictures,
a sift of lost faces
to drift beneath my dreams.
I am from those moments--
snapped before I budded --
leaf-fall from the family tree.

Thats a Where I'm from poem. And a template.

I just looked it up.
