M11X - Should I buy it?

I was looking to build a gaming computer for $600, but I decided that I would like a laptop better because my parents are divorced, so I live in two houses, alternating every week. I was looking at the Alienware M11X because it is within my budget, and from what I've seen it is very nice. If you have ever used an M11X, do you recommend that I buy it or should I get something else?

I am still leaning towards getting the M11X. I don't really want an epic powerhouse computer, just one that is better than the laptop that I currently have. I like laptops more than desktops, so I think I will get the M11X unless I can find a better laptop for a decent price.

Eh, you might be right. With your situation you probably will want a portable comp.

My parents got divorced when I was 3, so before I started liking computers. Then it just happened that I would have 2 comps.

Parents are divorced here as well, except my moms a stupid whore and prevents me from seeing my dad as much as she can (she made it so I can only see him 1 time a month). With that knowledge, I never really cared enough to bring my computer to my old mans house, so I always had desktops or macbooks. Basically if you're gonna be there the whole week, get the laptop, you don't want to risk damaging parts because you wanted to play blockland.

What's your budget? It seems like you would benefit more from having "power-house" laptop instead of an ultra-portable.
