Client-Mute Mod (if this already exists, please point me in that direction and ignore this part)
Whether using commands or a GUI of sorts, I want something that can remove ones chat from my view. I have no doubt this was suggested before, but I'm bringing it up anyways.
Obviously trolls and kids will be who they are and annoy the hell out of anyone they please. Whether for attention, revenge, or for the hell of it.

I've always wanted something to stop this. Similar to Steam's blocking voice chat, it would simply remove it from your view till you decide otherwise, or one leaves the server. It's not hard to re-type a simple command.

I shouldn't have to leave a good server due to that one inconvenience that ruins the game entirely.
They are the ones who should leave, but they will not till they have had their fun and depending on the targets, it could last for a great deal of time.

This is needed because the host or admins may not be around to remove such disturbances, or they simply don't care to do so to begin with. It doesn't force everyone in the server to mute that same individual either.

Teamchat Flood Protection
Considering we already have normal Flood Protection, why is there none for teamchat?
It obviously allows one to spam to their hearts content without penalties.

On the subject of flood protection, server Hosts should have the ability to activate/deactivate Flood Protection like they did some versions ago.
Why was this taken out to begin with? I never really understood that, but it should be reinstated.

Couple reasons why I suggest these things:

I have nothing against these two individuals, they just gave me good reason to suggest this.

I made a client side ignore script a few years back. I wasn't the first, and I was only making it in league with other people making their own, but mine works about as well. I give it a BL ID, then whenever I get a message, it checks the name on my Player List to be sure the person doesn't have an ignored ID. Otherwise, it won't show.

The problem with doing it in Blockland is people make chat mods which don't use chat correctly. It'll route through server messages or something, disabling the mod.

... I've actually been banned from Badspot's server for a few years because, back when I was putting together mine, I messed up the unignore code. When it didn't work, I went "Crap, why can't I unignore?" and someone perma-banned me with the reason "Because your chat filters suck." :panda:
