Doctor who?
Doctor Who!

I often find myself laughing throughout each episode and it's because some things are just hilarious, like the Abzorbaloff which was in my favorite episode.

The show is just really interesting and is filled with plot twists and suspense. I loved finding out who the Face of Boe was.

Wait, what? I don't think Doctor who is a children's show at all. What with all of it's romance and loveual innuendo.
The abzorbaloff was an amazing episode. It was cool that it wasn't done in the normal, follow the Doctor, style.
And Peter Kay was really good in it. The Abzorbaloff was actually a guest design chosen in a Blue Peter competition.

And yeah, it has it's moments of romance and loveual innuendo, but most shows do, even ones that are aimed at younger children. I think it's so that parents, or older viewers can enjoy it too.
Especially Captain Jack though, the time-travelling, quite almight, biloveual Time agent of space.

The Torchwood series is very good too.
And I also equally enjoyed The Sarah Jane Adventures, even though they are definitely a childrens program.

In order of how mature they are, it would go:

Torchwood - For older teens and Adults.
Doctor Who - Mostly for all ages, although some episodes are scary (Weeping Angles. :c)
Sarah Jane Adventures - Younger children and teens.

Some of the Doctor Who drama is quite grisly, however.
The Doctor is almost always against killing, but in some cases, he almost enacts genocide.

For example, he was devestated when the British Government had those aliens from the Christmas Special killed, the ones who used blood to control half the human population (Had them lined up ready to jump off of tall heights), but he's never had any problems with destroying the entire Dalek and Cybermen species on countless times.

I felt like Abzorbaloff was fat bastard from Austin Powers. It was also funny when I realized Ursula was Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter. Also,

David Tennant was the best Doctor,
Matt Smith... I hated him at first but he's actually not that bad. He needs eyebrows :P

Matt Smith was obviously having a hard time when he started.
You could tell that he wasn't too sure on how to play the role.

At first he was acting a little bit too much like David Tennant.
But, he soon found his own vibe.

Compare Tennant's first episode to Smith's.
Tennant was straight away a completely different character to Ecclestone's.
Smith took a little while longer to come out of Tennants shell.
But, Smith is a fairly new actor. Tennant had done things before Doctor Who.

A friend of mine says that he didn't like season five. I have disagree based on the one episode I've seen. After all, his companion in it is the first one I've found to actually be attractive.

Series 5 is definitely the most "child-orientated" one yet.

But both of the actors in it, companion and Doctor, are quite new to acting, and as such, weren't truly sure where to go with it.
And the production team were definitely trying out new things.
I wasn't keen on it after Episode 1, but when I watched Episode 2, I enjoyed it more.

There is a lot of drama, and comedy between the companion and Doctor, and the final episode was unusual.

It was a two-part story, but it seemed shorter than normal.
It was a very smart story, in terms of flipping around with time, but it didn't have the explosive drama that the previous series finales had.
But, I do believe that they will progress to become more interesting further on.
Tennant had been doing it for a few years, and as such, his were really, really impressive with each consecutive one being quite interesting and tying the plots together more and more.

What I have loved about the "new" Doctor Who series though, are the hidden things through all the episodes.
Series 1 had "Bad Wolf", which was such a shocker when you realised it had been there all the time.
Series 2, 3 and 4 had similar, well hidden things. I kept looking for them and never truly noticed what it was that was hidden, so it came as a surprise at the end of each series.

Series 5 however, they made it quite pain-stakingly obvious what the secret and hidden aspect was, that tied it all together.

I do believe I am going to miss the connection of all the companions though.
Rose Tyler <3
It was really quite epic how Rose was brought back so much, and had so much drama with the Doctor.
And then when she and the other two companions came together, it was quite beautiful.

But, with this new series, I think they're going to keep that all in the past. Kick out a new storyline with brand new characters. Perhaps more mention of Captain Jack, but I don't think we can expect to see Rose or Donna anymore.
