Even though I don't have the game I know alot of stuff (thanks, walkthrough vids and l4d wikipedia) so I'll help you out
>The boomer, I don't believe it incapacitates you directly, only when you get it's puke on you can you get incapacitated by it. Try to shoot it from far away, so when it explodes you don't get covered in puke, mainly because the puke attracts a mini horde. If it gets close enough, it will regurgitate on you, but it's killed in 1 shot so if you're in an open space and it's far enough away, shoot it.
>The smoker, it's not a grapple hook. It's a tounge/intestines shoved up it's throat that it uses to grab you. Try shooting it or it's tounge if it grabs one of your teammates, and if it grabs you you've got about 2 seconds to find it and kill it before it starts dragging you towards it.
